What personal data Kings Grind Music collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Who we are
Kings Grind Music is an independent music production company and is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide why and how it is used. You can contact us about anything in this notice at booking@kingsgrindmusic.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Project inquiry details — your name, email address, project type, budget range, deadline, reference artists or songs and project description. Used to reply to your inquiry, prepare a written scope and deliver your project. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
- Deposit and order details — your name, email address, the service chosen, the amounts due and paid, any notes you add, and the transaction reference from our payment provider. Used to fulfil your order, keep accurate business records and send you a confirmation. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation (accounting records).
- Newsletter email address — if you sign up for release and producer pack updates. Used only to send those updates. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Material you send us — reference tracks, vocals, lyrics, artwork or brand assets, used solely to produce your project. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information and basic page analytics generated when you visit. Used to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and understand which pages are useful. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in site security and improvement.
We do not see or store your card details. Card and billing information is collected directly by our payment provider on its own hosted checkout.
3. Who we share data with
- Payment provider — Stripe processes online checkout, payment method handling, fraud prevention, receipts and related payment records. PayPal will also process payment details if you choose PayPal during checkout once it is enabled.
- Service providers — our website hosting, database, email delivery and analytics providers, which process data only on our instructions.
- Professional advisers — accountants or legal advisers, where needed.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside your country, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep it
Project inquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact so we can pick up a conversation you restart. Order and payment records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. After those periods data is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email booking@kingsgrindmusic.com. We aim to respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls on our database and keeping payment processing with a dedicated provider so card details never reach our systems.
8. Cookies
This site uses only cookies and similar storage that are essential to make it work securely, plus limited analytics to count page visits. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; essential ones are needed for parts of the site, such as checkout, to function.
9. Changes to this notice
We will update this page if our practices change. See also our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.
